Sep 24, 2014 6:47 AM

The Indians completed a sweep of the Athletics on Thursday afternoon, but a Cleveland starter allowed a run for the first time in 44 1/3 innings, according to The Associated Press. An unearned run against Aaron Laffey on his own throwing error ended the streak, but didn't keep the team from recording their eighth win in ten games. "When you talk about five guys -- to do it day in and day out it's impressive," Laffey said. "It's just been an incredible week of starting pitching for us." During Cleveland's recent seven-game homestand, their starters tallied a 6-0 record with an 0.16 ERA in 55 1/3 innings of work.
